The way we see it\, today’s world offers kids enough stress…dancing should be fun! \nWe invite you to sit back\, relax and enjoy your kids! \nYours in Dance\,\nDarryl & Kim Fink \n  \n\n\n\nPERFORMANCE CATEGORIES:\n(Top)\n\n\n\n\nJazz – Contains traditional jazz movements and technique.\nTap – Scored on tap technique.\nLyrical- Dancers interpret the lyrics\, mood and content of the music.\nContemporary – Routine incorporating lyrical or jazz movement fused with modern elements.\nHip Hop – Street or contemporary jazz-funk.\nMusical Theatre – A routine interpreting a song from a Broadway or Movie Musical.\nCharacter – A routine portraying an easily recognizable character.\nBallet – Includes classical or contemporary ballet movements and technique. Ballet slippers only.\nProduction- Must be 4-8 minutes long. May contain any style or combination of styles.\nPointe – Must include classical or contemporary pointe technique and steps. Pointe shoes only.\nAcro-Dance – Combines gymnastic and dance choreography. Must contain at least 50% dance choreography.\nModern – Consists of modern technique\, movement and choreography.\nPom Pon – Performed with pom pons for at least 75 percent of the routine.\nDance Team/ Kickline – Must consist of traditional dance team and kickline choreography.\nClogging – Performed in clogging shoes using clogging technique.\nOpen – Any style of dance or combination of styles.\nParent – recreational parent category. All Parent routines will compete as recreational.\nPro/Am – Any routine that contains a professional dancer.
